Poconos Escape at the Mount Airy Resort and Casino
May 21st through 24th, 2019
4 Days / 7 Meals
Escape to the beautiful Poconos Mountains of Pennsylvania and enjoy fine accommodations, dining and scenic touring. We’ll stay 3 nights at the Mount Airy Resort Hotel and Casino, which offers luxurious rooms, extensive gaming facilities, multiple dining options, and other amenities. Each day includes a full breakfast and dinner, plus a $30 slot play.
On Day 1, we cruise down the Hudson River aboard the Rip Van Winkle and enjoy breathtaking views, with expert narration. Enjoy a box lunch with a glass of wine on your expedition. Afterwards, arrive at the Mount Airy Resort and Casino, and enjoy your first night of gaming with dinner. On Day 2 we journey into the countryside, stopping first at Grey Towers Heritage Site. This was home to the Pinchot family, whose patriarch Gifford Pinchot founded the National Forest Service. We’ll tour the mansion and manicured grounds followed by free time in Milford, PA. This quaint Pocono village with tree-lined streets and 19th Century architecture provides a 3-block area to shop at unique stores (with lunch on own). Before returning to our hotel we will stop at a local vineyard for a tour and tasting. This evening enjoy dinner and gaming at your leisure.
Day 3 is a free day to relax, enjoy the Casino, take a stroll on the many trails that surround the hotel, delight in the indoor and outdoor pools, or treat yourself to a session at their number-1 rated Spa. After breakfast on Day 4, we head towards home with a stop in Hyde Park, New York to visit the Franklin D. Roosevelt Museum and Library. Discover the life and times of our 32nd President with videos, rare artifacts, and other exhibits that convey the remarkable story of a remarkable man.
